Just for Today

Pick a day and invite your family for a 30-minute meeting to discuss being stewards of our lives, how we are all using our time energy, money and resources. (Or invite a friend to join you in the conversation, or schedule a meeting with the person in the mirror.😊)

Discuss these topics.

We are the kings and queens of this world. We have hot running water and three meals a day. We have responsibility not just to ourselves but to God and to others for how we use these resources. If we were to stand in court before God and before all of the people of Our Generation across the world, how do we think we would be judged for our current use of our time energy and resources and money? Are we doing a good job using these things or are there things that could be changed?

There is a balance in the Bible. The Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and there are huge consequences and disciplines when we do not obey God’s laws. And this fear is a healthy fear like the fear of putting your hand in fire. God desires only the best in his love for all of us and that is why he wrote the laws down for us, and that is also why he gives us people to teach us how to live. But the balance is that God is also Father he knows what we can and cannot do and so when we are serious and we come to him knowing that there will be consequences and there will be a day of reckoning for how we have lived Our Lives, and we ask him to help us he is a compassionate merciful father that pours his love and grace upon us, Desiring patient relationship, not instant perfection. The fact that we were born in my thinking is proof that God exists. And the fact that we have not been killed by him for sins and agreed and wrongdoings is proof that he is love. He desires that we little by little work through those changes and grow into being the Kings and Queens that bless the world around us.

Pick 3 specific things that you and your family think you could change permanently over time to Better help this world and the people around us. Count the cost. If you are giving up something what will you replace it with?

Strive to find joy in bringing life to others, bringing the basic necessities of life to the world around us.

If we find it difficult to change our brain patterns perhaps we might have to go continually to God and seek Him fully and ask him for the power to change.

Sometimes we are tired. Sometimes it seems like it’s not worth it or it’s impossible. But if you bring life to another person, it is worth it to them, and everything is possible with God.

Always remember, you are treasured. You are loved.
